Spanish Course Levels

The Spanish Institute offers Spanish language instruction for all levels, from beginners to advanced students who wish to further enrich their Spanish language knowledge.

• Initial Level (A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4): Acquire basic Spanish conversation skills, read and write simple daily texts, and be able to express simple opinions, needs and feelings in Spanish.
  
  
• Intermediate Level (B-1, B-2, B-3, B-4): Improve communication skills with an enriched vocabulary and more complex sentences. Start to read Spanish literary texts and express and write more abstract concepts.
  
  
• Advanced Level (C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4): Acquire fluency to express yourself in Spanish precisely on a wide variety of subjects. Use and perceive the underlying nuances in written and oral expressions.
  
  
• Superior Level (D-1, D-2, D-3, D-4): Employ acquired skills creatively. Be well versed, write essays in Spanish, read classic and contemporary literature or civilization topics and discuss them as deeply as you wish.
  
  
  
  
  
  

Each level (Initial, Intermediate, Advanced, Superior) totals 120 hours of classroom training, and is divided into four separate sublevels of 30 hours per course.

About our Spanish Language Instruction

At the Spanish Institute, we use modern educational methodologies in all our Spanish classes in a friendly and stimulating learning environment. To accelerate learning, instruction is given through full immersion in the Spanish language. The student speaks exclusively in Spanish from the very first day, quickly gaining comfort in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing the language.

Our instructors are professionally trained to teach Spanish as a second language and are passionate about teaching it. Our teaching staff and administrative team work together to create an ambiance that enhances the Spanish learning experience.

The textbooks and workbook materials we use in all our Spanish classes are the most recent editions of effective and well-known methods in Spain and Europe. To ensure successful acquisition of the Spanish language our teaching techniques utilize a communicative approach and encourage the active participation and involvement of the student.

Our classrooms are comfortable, well-illuminated, and conducive to learning. They are equipped to allow students and instructors to take advantage of appropriate technologies, including audio, video and the internet.

Group and Private Instruction

• Group Spanish Classes:  The Institute limits group classes to twelve students, allowing instructors to closely guide the individual learning process and maximize learning.
  
  
• Private Spanish Classes:  Students preferring a one-on-one learning environment can take advantage of our private language instruction. Call us for details.

Corporate and Organizational Instruction

Corporations and other institutions can take advantage of our offerings either at the Spanish Institute or at their own locations. We organize Spanish courses specifically designed for companies and institutions according to their objectives and needs.

Regular or Intensive Spanish Courses

• Regular: Students meet 3 hours per week during 10 weeks to provide 30 hours of classroom instruction
  
  
• Intensive: These courses provide the same 30 hours of instruction in half the time. Participants meet 6 hours per week during 5 weeks.
